.exe installer · Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. 16 GB RAM recommended; an NVIDIA GPU makes it faster.

Notarized .dmg · macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon (M1 or newer).

Windows

Run the installer you downloaded.
Setup downloads the speech model and the components the app runs on. This is the only time it needs a fast connection.
Paste your key when asked.
Hold Space in any app and talk.

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC": that's SmartScreen being cautious about a new app from a small publisher. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only do this for an installer you downloaded from this page.

macOS

Open the .dmg and drag ScrinkleScribe into Applications.
Launch it and allow Microphone and Accessibility access when macOS asks. Accessibility is what lets it see the hotkey and type into other apps.
Paste your key when asked.
Hold fn in any app and talk.

Will it run well on my computer?

Everything runs locally, so your hardware decides which speech model it uses. Both give good results; the larger one is more accurate with tricky words and accents.

Before you install

Do I need to be online?: Only for setup, which downloads the models, and for a quick license check when the app starts. If you're offline it keeps working for 14 days.
Is the trial the full app?: Yes. Every feature, on up to three computers, for 14 days.
Can I uninstall cleanly?: Yes. Uninstall the app and delete its folder, and everything it stored (history, settings, logs) is gone.
