Dictate client work without sending it to the cloud

Draft emails, memos and file notes by voice in Outlook, Word or your practice software. Speech is transcribed on your own computer, so client details aren't passed to a dictation service.

Where it fits in your day

Emails to clients and counsel

Hold the hotkey in Outlook or Gmail and talk the reply through. Punctuation and paragraphs come out ready to send.

Memos and file notes

Get the first draft down at speaking speed in Word, then edit by voice: select a passage and say how to change it.

Names and terms of art

Add party names, case names and Latin to the custom dictionary so they're spelled right every time.

The questions you should ask any dictation tool

Where does my audio go?
Nowhere. It is transcribed by a Whisper model on your own computer, on Windows and Mac, in every configuration, and then discarded. The only recording kept is the latest one (and very short clips) while history is on; set history retention to 0 and none are kept.
Does my text ever leave the machine?
Not by default. Cleanup runs on a local AI model. There is an optional online cleanup engine that sends dictated text to a provider you choose with your own API key; it is off by default and asks before the first use. If you never switch it on, your text stays local.
What does the app send over the internet at all?
Three things, all listed in the privacy policy. A license check with Polar when the app starts (the key and an activation id; your computer's name is sent once, when you activate). One-time downloads during setup. And, only if you switch it on, the optional online cleanup engine, which sends dictated text to the provider you choose. Never audio. No analytics, telemetry or crash reports.
Is there an account or a server holding my data?
No account, no sign-in, and no server of ours. History stays in a file on your computer for 30 days by default, and one menu item deletes it.

ScrinkleScribe makes no compliance certification claims. Whether a tool fits your professional obligations is your call; the privacy policy lists every network request the app makes so you can decide with the facts.
